Softness, under pressure

Developed within Girls Girls Girls Studio as part of an ongoing exploration of object-driven image-making, this series positions the studio environment as both setting and subject.

Objects are placed under compression within an upholstered surface, where softness becomes an active force. Familiar items shift from functional to sculptural as pressure distorts form and interrupts expectation.

By isolating each object within a consistent environment, the work builds a visual system centered on tension—exploring the line between comfort and control.
